A film with no video file
This chapter’s film is a small JavaScript program, like the chapters before it. Two real photographs are taped into it: his university friends, and bác Tín on the 1974 visit to Moscow. The sound effects are synthesised in the browser. The two recorded tracks are the narration, in his own cloned voice for Vietnamese, and the score.

Illustrations are an artistic re-imagining, not historical photographs. Names, dates and events come only from his memoir. The two photographs are real: his friends at МЭИС, and bác Tín in Moscow in 1974. The young man is drawn from his 1972 student-card photo and bác Tín from his; Ba from his photos; anh Đông and cháu Khánh are imagined from the text.
